Our Story

Joshua Rangai's journey began in the suburbs of Chicago, where he was raised by an entrepreneurial father and a mother who balanced school, work, and raising two children. Witnessing their dedication instilled in him a profound work ethic and a drive to push beyond limits.

His path led him to the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, where he pursued a degree in Philosophy and Ethics. During his time in Milwaukee, Joshua founded "Fat Charlies," a DIY venue in 2018. Quickly gaining renown, it became a sought-after spot for touring bands nationwide. Sadly, COVID-19 forced its closure in 2020. Undeterred, Joshua continued supporting artists, fostering connections, and offering assistance wherever possible.

In 2022, Joshua relocated to Chicago and reconnected with JVNEBVG. Recognizing Joshua's potential as a music manager, they embarked on a collaborative journey that marked a new beginning.

Through his experiences with JVNEBVG and his ongoing connections with creators and artists, Joshua realized he had much to offer those striving to achieve their artistic goals. Leveraging his industry knowledge and extensive network, he founded LAME CONTENT—a collective dedicated to partnering with artists from inception to success.
